Weekend Event Photo Coverage

A couple of weekends back I had a blast attending the "More" conference with Stairway Church Whitehorse. We had a fun brief for this event, to make sure we captured the moments as they happened, but also to deliver high res images of the speakers as they were introduced so they could be used for streaming and other mediums - and finally to capture a range of images that would have that 'iphoneographer' look and could be used for advertising the event on social media as it happened.

I haven't worked a brief like this before, so it was a lot of fun - and had it's challenges. What do you think of the shots?

You can see more of this kind of work on my commercial page, or my Facebook page - happy viewing!

Cheers,
Liam

Photo Booth @ 21st's

Lots of fun being had a birthday party's all over Melbourne, and all recorded in wonderful prop filled photographic memories! Most recently the photo booth went out to a lovely cafe, where even the staff had a turn, and also we went 'Under The Sea' - and what a party! There was even a giant fish person - so cool!

You can check out the snaps on my Facebook page or on the photo booth page right here.

All the best planning your next big event!

Band shoot for Stairway Music's "Send Light" album

Well it has been a long time coming, but Stairway Music's latest album, Send Light, is released. Which means I can finally publish these images! We took these (and more) shots over two sittings, one at The Firehouse in Ringwood, and the other at an empty warehouse in Nunawading.

For many of the band members it was their first time being shot like this, they did a really great job, being relaxed and having fun.

The real achievement is the group shots. With two of their team working hard to develop a style and collaborating with me to capture group shots that aren't just people standing beside one another - the result is really wonderful.

Along with the new album is a website being used to publish and share their work, many of these images have gone too - so check it out!

You can see the gallery of images here if you like, or find out more about our portrait services.

Website images for beauty salon - Donvale Beauty Therapy

Another very cold Melbourne morning and we are off to Donvale Beauty Therapy to update the photo of the rooms, and grab a lovely portrait of the owner, Hollie.

I had a great time working with Hollie, and if I were into beauty treatments I would certainly have stayed longer ;).

Check out some more of our portrait or website work. Shoot me an email if we can help you with your next project!

A fun morning doing impromptu family photos

Well, we had a great time with Sarah's family taking photos to go into a picture album for Grandma. The kids came together from all over Melbourne, bringing spouses and grand-kids along!

We had the run of the back yard, using everything out there and got a real variety of pictures. Here's a snip of what we captured:

Car photographer has the camera turned on himself!

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet with Tony Shaw from Classic Car Photography last week to take his portrait. He has been working (with others) on a book about Bolwell, and just happens to know a fellow who owns a Nagari! So off we went to The Healey Factory in Mitcham, and can I say, it is such a pleasure spending time in there with 'guys who know guys'!!

Have a look at some of the shots of Tony:

It was a bit of a whirlwind, pulling everything together overnight almost and getting images turned around quickly so Tony could enjoy his upcoming holiday! We had a lot of fun and I was certainly glad to have been able to spend time at The Healey Factory.

Ally's Theatre Profile gets a Cool Low Key Portrait

We had a lot of fun doing this shoot inspired by George Hurrell, the king of Hollywood low key portraits! We used the small studio to set up an intimate space with some basic pieces, table, lounge, etc. We ended up taking our time, with lots of 'this way or that?' and 'let's try it again but with...'. The result is a fantastic low key portrait that Ally can use for theatre, and probably a few other things too!!

Ally is going to be making her debut in the world of musical theatre very soon, so we took these shots so she had the right image to send in with her profile.

We are always doing something new and different, so check out some of our other work on the portrait page or on our Facebook page. Why not shoot us a message to see how we can help you with your project?

"Liam has done such an amazing job of capturing gorgeous, fun and effortless looking shots. He made me feel at ease and relaxed, and was extremely professional in his approach from beginning to end. He exceeded all my expectations and I ended up with beautiful photos."
